Rkatsiteli
Rkatsiteli is a white grape variety used mainly for still dry wine production. It is believed to originally come from Georgia. It is a grape variety that buds and ripens late, with big bunches and small, thin-skinned berries. It is susceptible to powdery mildew (oidium), but it is winter-hardy. Rkatsiteli typically produces monovarietal wines. Fermentation usually takes place in stainless steel tanks, maturation – in stainless steel tanks. The Qvevri wine-making method is also practiced with the grape variety.
