Vidal
Vidal is a white grape variety used for still dry and sweet wine production. It is a hybrid obtained by crossing Trebbiano Toscano and Rayon d’Or in France. It is a mid-ripening grape variety with big bunches and small berries. It is susceptible to powdery mildew (oidium) and botrytis bunch rot (grey mold), but is relatively resistant to downy mildew. Vidal typically produces monovarietal wines. Fermentation usually takes place in stainless steel tanks, maturation – in stainless steel tanks.
