Trajadura / Treixadura
Trajadura is a white grape variety used for still dry and off-dry wine production. It is believed to originally come from Portugal. It is a late-budding and mid-ripening grape variety with compact, medium-sized bunches and thin-skinned berries of medium size. It is susceptible to downy mildew and botrytis bunch rot (grey mold). Trajadura is typically used in blends with different grape varieties. Classic blending partners are Alvarinho, Arinto and Loureiro. Fermentation usually takes place in stainless steel tanks, maturation – in stainless steel tanks.
