Silvaner
Silvaner is a white grape variety mainly used for still dry wine production. It is believed to originally come from Austria. It is an early-budding and mid-ripening grape variety with small, tight bunches and medium-sized berries. It is susceptible to downy and powdery (oidium) mildews and botrytis bunch rot (grey mold). Silvaner typically produces monovarietal wines. Fermentation usually takes place in stainless steel tanks, maturation – in stainless steel tanks.
