Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso
Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is a black grape variety used for red wine production. It is believed to originally come from north-eastern Italy. It is a member of the Refosco group. It is a late-ripening grape variety with medium-sized to big bunches and thin-skinned berries of small to medium size. It is susceptible to downy and powdery (oidium) mildews but resistant to botrytis bunch rot (grey mold). Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is typically produced as a monovarietal wine, but it can be blended with different international grape varieties. Fermentation usually takes place in stainless steel tanks, maturation – in oak barrels.
