Nebbiolo
Nebbiolo is a black grape variety used for red wine production. It is believed to originally come from Piedmont (Italy). It is an early-budding and late-ripening grape variety with medium-sized bunches and berries, and is very site-sensitive. Nebbiolo is typically produced as a monovarietal wine, but it can also be used in blends with different indigenous Italian grape varieties. Classic blending partners are Vespolina, Bonarda and Croatina. Fermentation usually takes place in stainless steel tanks or oak vats, maturation – in oak vats.
