Krasnostop Zolotovskiy
Krasnostop Zolotovskiy is a black grape variety used for red and rosé wine production. It is believed to originally come from the Rostov region (Russia). It is a mid-budding and mid-ripening grape variety with small bunches and small, thin-skinned berries. It is susceptible to downy mildew, heat sensitive, but winter-hardy. Krasnostop Zolotovskiy can produce monovarietal wines and is often used in blends with different grape varieties. Classic blending partners are Cabernet Sauvignon, Tsimlyanskiy Chernyy and Merlot. Fermentation typically takes place in stainless steel tanks, maturation – in stainless steel tanks or oak barrels.
