Cinsault / Cinsaut
Cinsault is a black grape variety used for red and rosé wine production. It is believed to originally come from southern France. It is a late-budding and mid-ripening grape variety with big bunches and berries. It is resistant to drought and heat. Cinsault is typically used in blends with different grape varieties. Classic blending partners are Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan. Fermentation usually takes place in stainless steel tanks, maturation – in stainless steel tanks.
