2016 Chablis. Billaud-Simon
Chablis AOC,
Burgundy,
France,
12.5% vol., 1 971
Grape variety: Chardonnay
The wine is pale gold in colour. Delicate developing nose of moderate intensity with aromas of green apple, citrus peel, a touch of stone fruits and white flowers, and a hint of creaminess. First impression on the palate is a touch of bitterness reminiscent of crushed apple seeds, followed by high juicy acidity and somewhat warming moderate alcohol, a light body and moderate fruit concentration on the medium finish. Drink now, passing its peak. Tasted from 375 ml bottle.
