This wine is deep ruby in colour. It has a slightly overpowering nose of pronounced intensity, with aromas of burnt wood and oak, along with blackcurrant, plum and black pepper. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, although it is missing harmony with coarse, drying tannins and jammy fruit, leading to a medium finish that also lacks complexity. Ready for drinking with potential for ageing (3-5 years).
