This wine is deep ruby in colour. It has a jammy, maturing nose of moderate intensity, with aromas of leather, smoke, oak, black pepper, dried fruit, prunes and blackcurrant. It is initially fresh on the full-bodied palate with ripe tannins, although it lacks complexity and the tannins turn dry on the heavy, alcoholic finish of medium length. Ready for drinking with potential for ageing (1-3 years).
