This wine is deep ruby in colour. It has a distinctive nose of quite pronounced intensity, with aromas of toasted bread, black pepper, dried fruit, prune, blackcurrant and raspberry. Although it has fresh, crisp acidity, it is missing harmony on the full-bodied palate with excessive tannins and oak that is a little dominant on the medium finish, with both overpowering the light alcohol backbone. Ready for drinking with potential for ageing (1-3 years).
