This sparkling wine is pale onion skin in colour, with fine bubbles. It has an attractive nose of moderate intensity, giving a positive first impression, with aromas of strawberry, cherry, redcurrant, blood orange, peony, yoghurt and cream, but is missing some yeasty complexity. It is fresh and balanced on the medium-bodied palate, with persistent bubbles, although the acidity is a little sharp on the medium finish. Ready for drinking, but will likely improve with ageing (1-3 years).
