This wine is medium ruby in colour. It has a ripe, spicy, varietally pure nose of pronounced intensity, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, plum, tobacco, cloves and black pepper. It is fresh, concentrated and quite balanced on the full-bodied palate with well-integrated alcohol, although the initially ripe tannins turn dry and the fruit is jammy on the medium finish. Ready for drinking with potential for ageing (3-5 years).
