This wine is medium ruby in colour. It has a varietally pure, but also slightly overripe and oaky nose of pronounced intensity, with aromas of sour cherry, cherry, blackberry, plum, black pepper, cloves, pencil lead and cedar. It is lacking balance on the medium-bodied palate, with coarse, unripe tannins and jammy fruit on the medium finish. Ready for drinking with potential for ageing (1-3 years).
