This wine is deep ruby in colour. It has a fruity, spicy and oaky nose of quite pronounced intensity, with aromas of blackcurrant, plum, cherry, dried fruit, black pepper, cloves, vanilla and cedar. It is rich and concentrated, although a little jammy and missing harmony on the extremely full-bodied palate, with overwhelming alcohol and excessive tannins that start out ripe but turn dry on the medium finish. Ready for drinking, possibly still even too young, with potential for ageing (3-5 years).
