2018 Alma Hill`s, Cabernet Sauvignon. Valery Zaharin
Republic of Crimea,
Russia,
12% vol., 620
Grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine is medium ruby in colour. It has a varietally pure, slightly oaky nose of quite pronounced intensity, with aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, black pepper, bell pepper, leather, smoke and chocolate. It is quite balanced and fresh on the full-bodied palate, with nicely restrained alcohol and ripe tannins, although it lacks complexity on the shortish finish. Ready for drinking with potential for ageing (1-3 years).
