This wine is pale garnet in colour. It has a mature but also fresh nose of moderate intensity, with aromas of leather, cedar, smoke, oak, cloves, nutmeg and plum. It is lacking complexity and fruit on the full-bodied palate, and is well past its peak, with a tired, shortish finish, whereby the initially ripe tannins turn dry. Ready for drinking.
