This wine is medium ruby in colour. It has a nicely maturing but still fruity and floral nose with fairly prominent oak and good varietal character, giving a positive first impression, with aromas of plum, blackberry, cherry, black pepper, cedar, smoke, tobacco, chocolate, cloves and violets. It is concentrated yet balanced on the medium-bodied palate with restrained alcohol, ripe and velvety tannins, and smooth acidity, although it lacks serious complexity. Ready for drinking with potential for ageing (1-3 years).
