This wine is deep garnet in colour. It has an appealingly fruity but also nicely maturing nose of medium-plus intensity, giving a positive first impression, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, plum, black pepper, leather, eucalyptus, cedar, oak, pipe tobacco, vanilla and cloves. It is rich, concentrated and complex on the full-bodied palate with ripe tannins and balanced acidity, although a little jammy on the medium-plus finish. Ready for drinking with potential for ageing (3-5 years).
