2014 Blanc de Noir, Brut. Usadba Divnomorskoye
Krasnodar region,
Russia,
12.5% vol., 2 270
Grape variety: Pinot Noir
This sparkling wine is pale lemon-yellow in colour. It has a fruity but also problematic nose of moderate intensity, with aromas of apple, lemon, apricot, artichoke and wet hay. Although it is initially fresh on the very light-bodied palate, the bubbles quickly fade, leaving a thin, unpleasantly phenolic finish, with a slightly chemical flavour.
