2018 Good Year, Saperavi. Valery Zaharin
Republic of Crimea,
Russia,
12% vol., 495
Grape variety: Saperavi
This wine is medium ruby in colour. It has a fresh, fruity, spicy nose of quite pronounced intensity, giving a positive first impression, with aromas of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, black pepper, cloves, cedar, chestnut and leather. It is quite balanced on the medium-bodied palate, with the exception of some unripe tannins and is missing complexity on the medium finish. Ready for drinking with potential for ageing (1-3 years).
