This wine is medium ruby in colour. A varietally pure, fresh nose of pronounced intensity gives a positive first impression, with aromas of plum, cherry, blueberry, then chocolate and oak. The approaching full-bodied palate is in nice balance with really ripe tannins and smooth acidity, although it slightly lacks complexity and length, and has a jammy note on the palate. Ready for drinking with potential for ageing (1-3 years).
