This wine is medium ruby in colour. It has an appealingly fruity, spicy and oaky nose of pronounced intensity, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, plums, blueberry, cloves, allspice, vanilla and chocolate. This full-bodied wine is quite well balanced, although the fruit is a bit jammy, the tannins are a little on the coarse side and the alcohol is slightly overwhelming on the medium plus finish. Ready for drinking with potential for ageing (3-5 years).
