2017 Tête de Cheval, Brut. Golubitskoe Estate
Kuban. Taman peninsula PGI,
Krasnodar region,
Russia,
12% vol., 999
Grape variety: Riesling; Chardonnay; Pinot Gris
This sparkling wine is medium lemon-yellow in colour, with persistent bubbles. A mainly fruity, vibrant nose of medium plus intensity that gives a positive first impression, with aromas of apple, lemon, lime and yogurt. The light-bodied palate is quite balanced and fresh, with crispy acidity, although it lacks real complexity and the finish is a little on the short side. The palate doesn’t quite match the promise of the nose. Ready for drinking.
