The Moscow State University of Food Production is supporting the international wine competition Russian Wines Competition 2020
For 90 years, the Moscow State University of Food Production (MSUFP) has been one of Russia’s leading educational and scientific institutions. It is a recognised forge of highly qualified personnel in the field of food production technologies, food engineering, economics and organisation of food production, automation and computerisation of technological processes, biotechnology, veterinary and sanitary examination, food chemistry and ecology.
Over the years of its existence, the university has trained about 45,000 technologists, engineers, mechanics, designers and economists, over 420 doctors and about 3,300 candidates of science, and more than 3,600 specialists for foreign countries. Its university professors and lecturers are authors of more than 600 textbooks, monographs and fundamental scientific works as well as numerous educational and teaching aids.
The university has been awarded by the Government for its great achievements in training specialists for the national economy and the development of scientific research.
The Moscow State University of Food Production is currently modernising its curricula, material and technical base (space, classrooms, software, technological equipment, specialised and applied equipment, etc).
MSUFP is an integrator platform where science, business and education meet. Negotiations on conducting research by scientists and university students are underway with business structures, while directors and specialists from leading food industry enterprises are invited to make speeches, a mentoring school is under development, and a highly qualified personnel training programme is being developed and implemented directly for the requirements of businesses.
Work to develop the scientific field is currently underway. A competitive system of scientific grants, which is open to all students, graduate students and university professors, is being implemented. International-level scientific publications and own scientific publications are being published. At the same time, demand is the main priority when selecting scientific areas. Many studies are conducted for specific customers, such as ministries and industrial companies. The university is pursuing developments in the field of biotechnology, product testing and development of new recipes, etc.
The Moscow State University of Food Production is a steadfast authority in the field of food production, biomedicine, veterinary medicine and technology.
Nowadays, when students graduate from MSUFP, they are highly qualified specialists, immediately ready to start their own business or work in a specific field. The university educates both technologists and managers, who can occupy managerial positions or work independently as technologists straight after graduating.
University Rector Mikhail Balykhin, who is supporting the Russian Wines Competition 2020 competition, emphasised: “The Moscow State University of Food Production, which has traditionally paid great attention to training specialists in the winemaking field, is supporting the competition. We would also like to underline the importance of organising such events, which aim to popularise high-quality domestic wines and the dissemination of expert information on Russian products throughout the global wine community.”
I would like to express my gratitude to Rector Mikhail Grigoryevich Balykhin for the privilege of the support of the Moscow State University of Food Production.
