Kirill Bardakov
Kirill is a young, talented winemaker who began his professional career as a student at the Kuban State Technological University, from which, by the way, he graduated with flying colours in 2011.
In his fifth year at university, Kirill attracted the attention of one of the best-known wineries in Russia, Usadba Divnomorskoe, who invited him to work for them. So, in 2010, he took up a position as a winemaker. In his eight years working at Usadba Divnomorskoe, Kirill has gained tremendous experience and knowledge. Wines he has been involved in making there have received positive reviews from both consumers and experts.
In 2013, Kirill was invited to participate in the jury of the La Selezione del Sindaco wine competition in Italy and in 2015, won the VinoOlimp Russian competition for young winemakers.
Kirill has been employed as chief winemaker at Cote Rocheuse JSC since 2018 and continues to invest all his strength, knowledge and experience in the project as well as in the development of the ultramodern gravity-based winery, which is unparalleled in Russia.
Since joining Cote Rocheuse JSC, Kirill has been an active member of the Vine & Wine educational project team. He played an active role in organising the first independent competition Russian Wines Competition 2018. Kirill writes the scripts and has starred in videos on winemaking issues, and also takes part in Vine & Wine tastings.
Kirill is also part of the preselection commission for wines for the second independent Russian Wines Competition 2020.
